Description
Compassion.... is it a migraine, is it financial ills. This one is in the University of California Riverside Alumni Center show until May 6, 2011 and may end up with a buyer, as first one talked about for purchase in November. It has since shown at the Mistlin Gallery, Modesto, Boulder Creek Music in Santa Cruz County, Gallery Red in Las Vegas in 2014. and various places besides my Dining Room Gallery and home studio.

Hi, James~This art is so aptly titled and the interpretation is left to the viewer. But in any case, the reasons for the need for compassion may be open and illusive, but the fact of its presence will touch many hearts. Compassion and other-directedness seems often seems to be sadly lacking in present-day society and yet there are evidences of it everywhere. It is good to see it here.

thank you for your comments on the painting image, and theme Compassion.

thank you Evelina. This painting may have an offer on the original at my current show at University of California Riverside Alumni Center. The emotional tension one of comments made there.
Evelina Popilian
Amazing how you surprise so much emotion in this wonderful fine art....All the best, Evelina

Thank you Natalie. The silver background makes it a bit difficult to take glare off to get as clear detail in subtle painting to glow as it does in person, but this shot pretty close.
Karen Conine
James, such sublety with mysterious emphasis in this excellent piece~Karen.
James Christiansen replied:
thank you Karen. There is a underlying dramatic expression to it, just what the conversation left to near anything in interpretation.
