Stunning work of art James! Love how the sepia holds it together.
James Christiansen replied:
Thank you. The sepia in the main is walnut ink, with sepia watercolor as well.

Title is simply Abstract Expressionism. It might be toward the end of the list since it's newer, but so far, a high talent group.

James... what a magical rich portfolio of work. So any to comment on. Your work is interesting and captivating, light and with depth. This is one fine example of all of that. v and f I invite you to visit the Abstract Expressionism Group as another showcase for this wonderful work. I would definitely be happy having your work and you as part of it.
James Christiansen replied:
Thank you very much. Since my last comment about award, this one part of four I had showing in Central California Art Association Spring Show 2013. Nice to get invitation from Abstract Expressionism group, as in 2011 article in Sacramento Talent magazine May issue, term used to describe my work, something I've usually just said is simply whatever it is I do.
James Christiansen replied:
Looking up groups, had trouble determining which one. Will check that out next time online.

This painting won a Third Place award at the 2013 25th annual Delicato Family Vineyards Fine Arts show, in Manteca, CA. Award allowed me to pick up a Case of their 181 2009 Merlot from the Tasting Room, site of the shows.

Absolutely fantastic!!!
James Christiansen replied:
thank you Katerina. Its hard to get the reflective paint which are both watercolors and ink, to show as is in the photo, and they do varie in light over course of day, depending where hung. Appreciate you taking time to comment.
