Interesting composition and work James!
James Christiansen replied:
This one is a 5 x 7 foot canvas, mounted over same size old world map long out of date. I started it a few years ago. As I was just going to do the overall undercoat, the purple and silver roller work, started popping all these animal characters, and the two primary figures, and the bird in nest. Composition not exactly planned, but worked out. I had to move it in the studio to reload my festival equipment, so put three nights of painting into it, to where I think its now finished. I just uploaded my best square on shot of the final piece.
