Description
Minnie's Restaurant, on McHenry Avenue at five points in Modesto, California. Minnie's is the location of my first permanent show in the Central California Region, in the 1980s, and a few of the printmaking pieces back with me, and in the restaurant or among family. This is also home to a noted collection of Burke Tyree paintings of the 1950s and 1960s still on the walls. A chinese and polynessian themed family owned restaurant, Minnie's is also a noted Tiki Bar.

Thank you all. have uploaded a sharper image of the painting, which sold as the original painting to Ron Gilbert, fan of Minnie's.

sold 2 days after completion, from a series of landmark images in acrylic on canvas of Modesto, California landmarks. Minnie's has been a landmark chinese restaurant and tiki bar genre since the early 1950s. In addition to art for various event promotions, and numerous bar napkins, Minnie's is the site of my first permanent show of my work in a private collection, and much of it hung in the upstairs bar area from 1989 until 2009 when remodeled. Some of my printmaking still hangs at Minnie's, and in the private collection of owners Peter and Stuart Mah. Minnie's has featured the polynesian nudes of Stockton and pacific artist Burke Tyree since opening.
